Customizing Your Membership

To ensure you're receiving the best possible leads from GigMasters, it's important that you optimize your account settings according to your business, including your category selections, event types, pay range, location, travel radius, and blackout dates. You have the ability to adjust these settings at any time throughout your membership.

Categories

Your category selection determines how clients will find you on our site and will directly affect the quality of the leads you receive. Learn more about how to select your categories here.

To view and edit your category selections, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Go to the 'Profile' tab.
  3. Click the 'Edit' button for 'Category Options'.
  4. Make your category selections.
  5. Click the 'Update Categories' button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Event Types

By default, your membership is automatically set up to accept leads for all types of events. If there are certain event types in which you are not interested (for example: funerals), it is important that you set your membership to reflect that.

Follow these steps to modify your event types:

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Select the 'Profile' tab.
  3. Click the 'Edit' button for 'Event Type Selections'.
  4. Deselect any event types in which you are not interested in getting leads for.
  5. Review your selections and click the 'Update' button at the bottom of the page.

Pay Range

You have the option to enter a price range for your services which allows your profile to be displayed when a client filter their search by Budget or Pay Range. Your price range should be realistic, otherwise you risk pricing yourself out of potential gigs.

Follow these steps to adjust your pay range:

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Select the 'Profile' tab.
  3. Click the 'Edit' button for 'Profile Details'.
  4. Select your price range from the drop down fields in the 'Pay Range' section. 
  5. Click the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page.

Location

You can update the city, state and zip code that your GigMasters profile is listed in at any time throughout your membership. 

Follow these steps to adjust your city/state/zip code:

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Select the 'Profile' tab.
  3. Click the 'Edit' button for 'Profile Details'.
  4. Type in the new city, state and zip code under in the 'City & State' section.
  5. Click the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page.

Travel Radius

It is very important that you carefully consider how far you are willing to travel for gigs. By default your account is set to receive leads as far away from home as your membership level allows (100 miles for Basic, 500 miles for Professional and 3,000 miles for Gold). While some members are willing and able to accept long-distance gigs, some are not. There is no need to receive leads for gigs that are too far away.

*Tip* Your GigMasters travel radius is calculated from the city that you enter and the distance is measured 'as the crow flies.'

Follow these steps to update your travel radius:

    1. Log into your Control Panel.
    2. Select the 'Profile' tab.
    3. Click the 'Edit' button for 'Profile Details'.
    4. Choose your desired mileage from the drop-down in the 'Travel Distance' section.
    5. Click the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page.


Blackout Dates

If you know in advance that there are days that you’re unavailable for gigs, you can blackout dates on your GigMasters calendar. Once they’re entered, you will no longer get leads for those dates. 

Follow these steps to blackout dates on your Gig Calendar:

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Select the 'Gig Calendar' tab.
  3. Click the 'Add Gig/Blackout Dates' link. 
  4. Select 'I'd like to black out dates on my calendar so I will not receive leads for those dates' and click 'Continue'.
  5. Choose the dates that you're unavailable for and click 'Submit'.
