The big questions is: Will Gigmasters charge the booking fee for a gig I found on my own?

The big answer is yes - if you want to verify the gig to get reviewed and have it count towards your ranking. If not, you can simply add it as a calendar entry.

Hmmmm...seems like that should have been mentioned in the video. If that's the case, this won't work for me. It's hard enough being a pro musician without having to shell another twenty bucks or more for something that came my way outside of gigmasters.

Hey Tim, just to clarify if you find a gig on your own you definitely don't have to record it through GigMasters (you do not have to use GigMasters exclusively). This is just for members who want to receive the benefits of a verified booking. So are you saying that unless we pay Gigmasters a booking fee for gigs posted on our Gigmasters calendar page booked outside of Gigmasters, they won't show up on our home page for the public to view?

I really like this new feature. I would much rather my client use GigMasters then my current form of payment which is Paypal. GigMasters makes booking my events easy, is a great source of advertising for me on the web, reminds my clients to pay and makes it much easier for them. Plus GigMasters notifies me right away when I am paid and they put the money into my account much quicker. I just had a client who wanted to pay online through Paypal and they were having trouble, so I tried this new feature on GigMasters and it was much easier for both of us! I love the reminder emails and also that it become a verified booking! Paypal just takes my money when my clients want to pay online where GigMasters gives me services for the payment. Love it!

This feature is great to get your feet wet and to help you get your first star rating. The best reason to say to a present client "Please use Gigmasters, that way you can use your credit card for a secure deposit." Nice, right?

It would be nice to have GM give the performer the choice to black out TIMES not full days. A solo performer might want to not have to respond to a time they are already booked but have time earlier or later in the day. There should be an option the performer could check so they are not required to answer bids on times they are booked and risk loosing rapid responded badge. I dont bother filling out the calendar because you still send me new gigs on times I am booked when I have so I wasted all that time adding the gigs. Also the calendar should able to sync with say Google Ca-lender to save time.

I'm trying to add some gigs to my calendar for upcoming shows I have booked myself this summer in Myrtle Beach, SC. When I check my home page, they do not show up. I want to link my Gigmasters page with my facebook page so my following and fans can see my calendar. How long before I can expect to see my "Future Gigs" show up?

David , how are you linking the GM calendar to your FB? Just a web link or is there some sort of FB to GM link up?

Not me saying that David. I add outside gigs to my calender and they seem to show after a page refresh. I was asking you how you are linking FB to your GM calendar?

Entering dates (club dates, for instance) is very tedious doing them one at a time. Would be great to have a bulk upload (xls) or possibly an import from Facebook. Not entering pubic dates any more - too time consuming. Any chance of improving this area?
