Real Event - A Texas-Style Hoedown

Posted by Brittany Anderson on 05/24/18

Jackie hosted a "Texas-Style Hoedown" on her new ranch in Lampasas, TX and booked the Ella Reid Band to provide the authentic country hits for the party! Her new house was not yet finished, but that didn't stop her - she knew the backyard would be the perfect spot. However, little did she know, the weather would have different plans. Keep reading for her full real event story!

Jackie shared, "I had this crazy idea, and my husband would attest, to having a Texas-style Hoedown on our new ranch, with live music, BBQ and a big bonfire! We’re still building our house on the ranch; it’s barely framed with limited siding. The idea was to have the party in the back of the property, under this big tree, out in the open with a starlight sky! Little did I know, Mother Nature had alternative plans with a strong wind advisory. We had to make a last-minute decision and moved the party inside or our barely constructed house, turning the Hoedown into a Construction Party."

"That was no problem for the Ella Reid Band. They were so flexible and helped ensure me it would be fine. They brought everything including things I had no idea I even needed – predominately lighting. And they even offered to let us use their table to set up our food."

"Everyone loved the band and kept asking where I found them. My reply was through GigMasters and how lucky we were to get such an amazing performer. We will definitely use them again and recommend to everyone."

Jackie left the Ella Reid Band a 5 star review on GigMasters, and also shared: "Thank you to the Ella Reid Band for being so flexible, patient, entertaining, and personable! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening! And thank you to GigMasters for the introduction! Great service and very user friendly!"
