Depending on your GigMasters membership type, you are allowed either a 100, 500 or 3,000 mile travel radius. This means you can receive leads for gigs that are up to 100, 500 or 3,000 miles away from your home. For those members who are true road warriors and are looking for gigs all over, it makes total sense to go for the maximum travel radius. But, for those members who are only looking to gig locally...not so much.

If your travel radius is maxed out, you actually run the risk of missing out on local leads. That's because by setting your travel radius to the max, you are essentially telling our system you want leads from all over. Why have us send you leads for gigs in Boston if you are only looking to gig within the greater New York area?

The best thing you can do to optimize your chances of receiving local leads is to set your travel radius to a realistic distance. Here's how to adjust your travel radius:

1. Log into your Control Panel

2. Go to the 'profile' tab

3. Click the 'Edit' link for 'Profile'

4. You can adjust your travel radius by answering the question:
How far are you willing to travel for work?
*You also have the option of only receiving leads for gigs in the U.S.

5. Go to the bottom of the page and click 'Continue'

6. Click 'Update' on the next page once you are sure you have made the necessary changes
